1. Salt Art Snowflakes
- Snowflake template
- PVA craft glue
- Salt
- Tray
- Dye
- Place the snowflake template into your tray
- Trace the snowflakes with pva glue
- Sprinkle salt onto the snowflakes
- shake the tray to remove access salt
- Drop small amounts of dye onto the snowflakes and watch the dye absorb and move around the snowflakes
Snowman Puffy Paint
- - Snowman template
- - Shaving cream
- - Bowl and spoon
- - PVA glue
- - Scissors (adult will need to cut out the snowman parts)
- - Paint brush
Step 1
Create your puff paint by mixing 1/4 cup of pva glue and 1/4 cup of shaving cream
Step 2
Paint your snowman template with the puff paint
Step 3
Stick on the snowman parts and let your snowman dry

Step 1
Paint the canvas using your paints and paint brush- remember to clean your brush between colour changes
Step 2
Use your PVA glue to stick on the craft sticks and any other craft embellishments you may have.
Snowflake Shapes
- - Snowflake template

- - Scissors (an adult will probably need to cut out the shapes)
Step 1
Arrange the shapes onto your snowflake and stick them on
Step 2
Count how many of each shape you have in your snowflake and write the number next to the shape key

Use the colour key on the top of the page to colour in the same shapes as the ones shown in the colour key

Use the coloured buttons to match with the buttons or decorate your own mittens. This can be printed on thick card or laminated so it can stay on your Montessori shelf as an early maths activity for your toddler or preschooler

Use tongs to transfer the cotton balls on to the snowman templates and count the snowballs to match the number on each card

Fill a tray up with salt

- Spread the salt out and pick up one of the arctic cards to trace the letter of that arctic animal

Igloo Cut and Paste Winter Craft

Fill a tray up with salt
Step 2
- Spread the salt out and pick up one of the arctic cards to trace the letter of that arctic animal
- Arctic Scene Sensory Play Activity

Place the arctic scene template into the bottom of your tray.
Step 2
Add the salt to the tray and then pick up your arctic animal cards one by one to find the arctic animals under the snow using your paint brush. Great sensory activity for toddlers or to put on the Montessori play shelf for a winter activity
